Nicole Bascomb-Green has worked in the banking/real estate industry for 30+ years and has worked in multiple key roles. She has worked as a teller, personal banker, loan officer, underwriter, real estate broker, and leader in the financial industry. Having this depth of experience allowed her to identify the work she was destined to do within her community through the financial industry.
Nicole holds a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s in marketing and uses her education and experience to work as a key stakeholder in the industry to increase financial education, home ownership and real estate investment for disenfranchised communities in the state of Washington and across the nation. Generational wealth building which starts in most instances with homeownership, is the cornerstone of American life, and ensuring that everyone has access to this opportunity is her life’s work. Wealth building is not solely about assets, but the health and well-being of a family and a community. These are the key indicators Nicole has helped to bring to the spaces where she finds herself through the important work she has chosen to lend herself.
Nicole has continued to support key initiatives that are focused on removing barriers affecting disenfranchised communities. She sits on several boards, work groups, and networks to help support this effort. In all things her faith guides her and informs how she shows up in her personal and professional life. Nicole calls this her ‘Kingdom Work’ and sees each opportunity as the vineyard she was chosen to put her hand to. She continues to stay connected to the communities she serves and will continue to do so through her work at Umpqua Bank.
Nicole is married to her wonderful husband Michael, and she has three daughters whom she adores, Niaya, Sanyh, and Symirah. Nicole enjoys reading, going to the movies, traveling and spending time with her family.
